The
way you speak says a lot about you!
When you hear another person’s voice,
it will take you appoximately 7 seconds to make a judgement
on that person believe it or not! We can hear almost
everything in a voice: emotional state (sad, angry,
tired, fed up…), falseness or sincerity, weakness
or strength. Does this person entice you to listen further,
or do you just switch off after a minute or two?
Would you want to do business with a person who bores
you vocally/orally? Are you inclined to dismiss a person
for a job because he doesn’t motivate you, doesn’t
make you believe he is the only one for the job?
Voice
coaching explained
This is a practical way of allowing
yourself to be guided by another, trained, person as
to what the audience hears and perceives, to get feedback
and to help you put together a speech or presentation
with comfort and confidence. The way to all this is
with guidance, exercises and a bit of determination.

Breath control
is the number one priority. Good breathing equals
relaxation and nerve control. No more shaking knees! |
| • |
Voice projection – simple
techniques to get your voice way over yonder to
the person at the back of the hall without actually
shouting! |
| • |
Warming up of mouth, tongue,
vocal chords – so your instrument is in tip
top shape to deliver all those words! |
| • |
Placing of your voice in your
head, throat, chest and diaphragm areas so that
your speaking becomes melodious. No more people
exiting discreetly out the door! |
| • |
Working on the speech to make
your audience hear that you believe every single
word you are saying! |
